Loss of My Life
Oil on canvas • 36” x 48”
This painting is the title piece for this collection, and really encapsulates the idea of losing one possible version of your life, but in longing for that version the one you do have gets lost. I’ve seen it in some lives of people close to me, but for me this really looks like living across the country from my immediate family and growing old without them nearby.
The Loss of My Life Collection is about growing old and the choices we make that lead to how we do grow old… who we grow old with, or not, and how different life stories intersect between generations, locations, and perceived loss.
Please note this painting is in the last stages of drying and should be ready to ship by mid-June.
None of the pieces from this collection will be made into prints.
