This painting was the beginning of working through a lot of the ideas of this collection. It was prying open the door to a tightly shut cellar of things I actively tried not to think about. I found as I began to paint it just flowed out and quickly I was left with the resulting piece.

The Loss of My Life Collection is about growing old and the choices we make that lead to how we do grow old… who we grow old with, or not, and how different life stories intersect between generations, locations, and perceived loss.
