Sanguine Sky | Original Painting
Oil on Canvas • 36" x 48" • 2024
"Sanguine Sky" is painted from a photo I took while on the way home from my last rugby practice in late summer. As we were finishing up practice the sky started to slowly glow more and more and by the time I was on the wide open highway it was a full blown orange spectacular! In this painting I really leaned into thick orange palette knife pulls to to and recreate the drama and feeling of this sky.
The Endless Summer Collection includes many sunsets, colourful skies, flowers, fields, lakes, and glowing warm memories of a summer well-lived. It’s of a time that you kind of don’t want to end when you can feel the next season of life pulling you in.
